If the BMW came in at $12,995 with the typical German build quality and shaft drive with twice the motor, I think the off road posers would line up to get one. I don't think BMW is competing with the Ducati Scrambler but rather it's competing with the concept of a lower priced, lower spec model platform from which various version can be derived.
